About the Mower County Humane Society

Founded in 1950, and located in Austin, Minnesota, the Mower County Humane Society (MCHS) is an all volunteer, non profit, donation funded, fully independent no kill shelter.

The mission of the Mower County Humane Society is twofold.

First, to provide care and shelter to homeless dogs and cats from Mower County, Minnesota until they can be placed in responsible forever homes.

Second, reduce the number of unwanted, homeless dogs and cats in Mower County, Minnesota by promoting, facilitating, and sponsoring spaying and neutering activities.
