Why, oh why does no one want Pumpkin?? It's one of the big mysteries of life. Pumpkin was born at our shelter on June 24, 2020, and was adopted when she was 10 weeks old. She was returned after a year as she was too much energy for the young kids in the family. Pumpkin is a very active and fun loving girl. Her mother was a pit bull type dog but we don't know about the dad. Pumpkin is a gorgeous gal who has been fully vetted. Her fee is $125. Pumpkin has had some basic training and will need some good, consistent exercise. She is not a dog for a total couch potato lifestyle, but she would enjoy cuddling on the couch with someone special. She would do best as the only pet in the home. She would NOT do well with female dogs. NO SMALL ANIMALS. We think she would be fine with older kids. She knows some basic commands thanks to our awesome volunteers and walks pretty well on a leash. Pumpkin would make a happy adventure companion in the right home! Pumpkin really needs someone to take a chance on her. The shelter is not good for her and she's losing weight and is very stressed. We won't give up on her! Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
