Rhubarb came to our shelter from the city pound after her legal hold time was finished and no one had claimed her. She is still young and will probably be a year old by fall 2023. She could be a mix of pit bull type dog, lab, and maybe shepherd. She is happy and affectionate. She has been vet checked and spayed and her adoption fee is sponsored.

Rhubarb is a typical young dog who loves people. She will need some basic training in all areas, but is smart and eager to please. She would most likely do fine with male dogs and could be trained to interact nicely with cats. Kids should be fine, too. She's a honey!

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
