Blackie was rescued from the Austin City Pound on 12/21/24 when his time there had expired and he was due to be euthanized.  When we took Blackie to the vet on 12/26 for his neuter, it was discovered that he had a pretty big wound on his back hip--most likely from being bit by another cat.  His wound was cared for and is healing great.  Blackie is a friendly guy who is now neutered and current on shots.  He has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV.  Adoption fee is $80 to an indoor only home.  You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS and a pet carrier is required at the time of adoption.  To meet Blackie or any of our cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application.  We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  Thanks.
