Minnie came to us after her beloved owner passed away. She's about 10 years old and could be a mix of poodle, yorkie or other terrier, and shih tzu, among other possible breeds. Even though she's considered a senior, she's still bouncy, feisty, and filled with love to give to someone. She has been fully vetted and microchipped and her fee is $150.

Minnie is a smart, well mannered lady who knows some basic commands and tricks. She loves all people and has done well with other dogs of similar size, although she is not one to romp and play with other dogs. She needs a quiet and calmer home in which she's not left alone a lot. A potential adopter needs to be prepared for the regular grooming she requires. She is not a fan of cats. She would make a lovely companion!

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
