Hetty is a delightful mixed breed gal who arrived on January 30th from our city pound when no one had claimed her. She had a surprise on board and gave birth to 6 puppies on February 11th. She has now completed her mom duties and is getting ready for the next phase of her life - a forever home! She has been vet checked, vaccinated and microchipped, covered under her $150 adoption fee, along with her future spay surgery, which we can coordinate with her adopter.

Hetty is a very exuberant and bouncy young dog who is about a year and a half old. She will require some good exercise and basic training. She's very eager to please! We do think she would prefer to be the only pet in the home right now as she becomes accustomed to life outside of the shelter. Kids over 5 would be best for this gal. She is a loving sweetheart of a girl!

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
