Pippin is a delightful guy who arrived at MCHS on 3/27/2025 after being found running loose in a rural area. No one claimed him so he's on the hunt for a new home. We think he's an American Eskimo dog or a mix of some sort. He's friendly, bouncy, and a lot of fun. He will be vet checked and neutered on April 22nd and his fee is $150.

We do think that Pippin would do fine with other dogs. Cats? We don't know for certain but he seems pretty amiable. He might need a little bit of basic obedience training but is smart and eager to please. He loves to give hugs! He should be fine with kids, too. He will need good, consistent grooming due to his very thick coat. He's a younger dog so he'll need some regular exercise, too.

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroup.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
